Experts say educating girls is a major key to improving the global standard of living. We agree! That’s why four of our programs focus on promoting education and mentorship for girls, particularly vulnerable girls.
We want to reach girls when it matters most. By reaching girls while they are still young, we not only can help them stay healthy and safe in the short term, but we can reduce the number of women in crisis in the future. Putting them on a path will help them realize their dreams.
Dream It Be It gives girls the tools they need to achieve their education and career goals, empowering them to break cycles of poverty, violence, and abuse.

We host ongoing workshops and conferences to encourage girls in exploring different careers, creating achievable goals, and discovering their dreams. We explore:
We are privileged to partner with CABE (Coquitlam Alternative Basic Education) Secondary School, where we provide a monthly “lunch and learn” program for teen girls, including mentoring and educational teen-sensitive topics, including employment opportunities, goal-setting, mental health, nutrition, budgeting, inclusiveness, body image, budgeting/cost savings, organization skills, and more. We work on building relationships with girls at this alternative school.
Several times per year, we partner with the Coquitlam Public Library and our skilled members to provide a series of workshops for girls, focused on learning the basics of computer coding while having fun and being creative with technology.
A similar program to CABE, we partner with Suwa’lkh to provide a monthly mentoring and creative outlet session for indigenous teen girls.
Soroptimist launched the Dream It Be It curriculum in 2015. Since then, more than 20,000 girls from around the world have participated.
